1st day: Arrival

Arrival at Macedonia airport in Thessaloniki or at Achialos airport in Thessaly, transfer to Metropol hotel in Larissa and check-in . Rest of the day is free.

2nd day: Olympus

Our tour starts from Larissa and we head towardElassona. Elassona is located in the prefecture of Larissa and is built at the foot hill, on the south side of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and throne of the Twelve Gods of the ancient Greek mythology

We continue to Kokkinopilos. The village is built at an altimeter of 1150 m., which makes it ideal to enjoy the view of the valley from above. We continue to Xerolaki from where we will start our hike on Olympus, for the tops Skolio, Skala and Mitika (the highest peak of the mountain with an altimeter of 2917m). Total walking time about 5.5 hours
In case of bad weather or periods of snow, there are alternative routes that we can recommend.
Lunch at a traditional greek taverna in Kokkinopilos village.

3rd day: Rapsani – Tempi Valley – Ampelakia

We start from Larissa and head towards Rapsani.
Rapsani is known for producing wine and raki. At the village square we will have the opportunity to try many of the local wines of traditional local varieties such as, black- sour, winy (Krasato) and stavroto.
Next, we will cross the Valley of Tempi, where the view of the river and the surrounding area is breathtaking.

We start from the winery and gradually climb over the rocks of Tempi, where the view towards the river and the surrounding area is awesome. We will stop for a rest and to enjoy the view and then,after crossing the valley, we will climb down to the village of Tempi where the bus will be waiting to transfer us to Ampelakia.
The Historical Community of Ampelakia belongs to Larissa’s Prefecture. It is located in the foothills of Mount Ossa, or else Kissavos, and just 5 km from Tempi where the Athens – Thessaloniki highway passes. Manors hang on the slopes of the mountain show with their architecture that the years have left their undeniable historical touch. We will visit the famous Schwarz mansion.
Lunch at a traditional tavern in Ampelakia. Back to Larissa.

4th day: Meteora

We start from Larissa and head to Meteora.
The hike starts from Kastraki square and after a while we enter the trail. We pass under the ruined monastery of Pantocrator on the north side of the Ntoupianis rock. The route reaches the abandoned and restored Monastery of the Ipapanti and the

statue of the hero of revolution Papathymios Vlahavas. From there, the trail leads to the top of the cliffs until we reach the impressive monasteries of Great Meteor and Varlaam. Then we return to Kastraki passing the cave of St. George Mandila where every yearhikers climb to hang their scarves.

5th day: Pelion (Portaria-Makrinitsa-Milies-Tsagarada)

Starting from Larissa and heading toward Pelion.
We pass from Volos and Makrinitsa, Portaria, where we stop for a tour of the picturesque village overlooking the Pagasetic Gulf.
We continue the path and in Ano Lechonia we take the path of Milies we walk parallel to the lines of the legendary Moutzouris, up the picturesque village station.
Stop for lunch and tour the picturesque village and then departure in Tsangarada. Check in at Aglaida Hotel stay overnight.

6th day: Tsangarada – Damouchari – Fakistra

Along the main path that for centuries connected East Pelion villages by the Pagasetic Gulf and having to start the square of Agii Taxiarhes in Tsangarada, we will cross the village by making a slight acquaintance with it’s story.
After an hour of enjoyable trekking, we leave behind us the square of Agia Kyriaki and in 15 minutes we will get down to the legendary Kagkiolia to arrive on the beach in Damouchari.
After our rest, we get on the coastal trail heading south and passing by St. Athanasius and the secret school, we arrive in the Bay of Fakistra.
Duration: almost 4.30 hours

7th day: Round Tsagarada

A magnificent circular path in the network paths of the village.
We take a tour to districts of Tsagarada with particular planning that distinguishes, among leafy gardens, old mansions and forests with chestnuts.

We will rest under the agelong plane trees on the beautiful squares, have a drink from the magnificent fountains and admire the wild beauty of the canyon of Mylopotamos from the top of Koutras and we will get to know some of the history, architecture and the tradition of the village.
Duration: 3.30 – 4 hours

Day 8: Return flight

After breakfast, we depart for Thessaloniki, Macedonia Airport or Aghialos Airport in Thessaly to catch our return flight.
